Soluble pens are useful motif transfer tools, as they are easy to use and make strong, visible marks.
Water-soluble pen is a popular method of transferring designs. All the pen marks disappear when sponged with water. First draft the design on paper with a bold felt-tipped pen, then draw over the design on the fabric on top of the paper with the water-soluble pen. Complete your embroidery, then remove visible design lines by gently dabbing the fabric with a damp sponge.
Air-soluble pen works in a similar way to the water-soluble pen but the image disappears by itself in about an hour after being drawn.
